TV Bar was a dive in Berlin run by artists Calla Henkel and Max Pitegoff. With its mirrored walls, checkered floor and cheap drinks, TV presented like any other bar, but was built to live a double life: one public and one (mostly) fictional. On the days it was closed, Henkel and Pitegoff used TV Bar as the set for Paradise, a ‘workplace tragedy’ shot over 3 years on 16mm film with an ever-expanding cast of bar regulars, employees, and neighbors.

The exhibition PARADISE FOREVER at O-Town House will screen all four episodes of Paradisealongside paintings, a new photographic series and furniture prototypes for NEW THEATER HOLLYWOOD, a future project in Los Angeles.

PARADISE FOREVER is beautifully emblematic of Henkel and Pitegoff’s storytelling with their unique blend of 'speculative fiction and approximate truth’.

The Paradise series and exhibition was realized together with Galerie Isabella Bortolozzi in Berlin.
